How to recognise the problem

Signs of rodent presence

  • Scratching and noise in walls, under the floor
  • Droppings shaped like elongated crumbs (0.5–1 cm)
  • A sharp smell of ammonia in enclosed spaces
  • Damage — rodents gnaw wood, plastic, cables (fire risk)
  • Opened or damaged food packaging
  • Nests of shredded material in hidden, warm places

Rodents transmit diseases such as salmonella, E. coli, cryptosporidiosis and tuberculosis, and they also carry fleas, mites and ticks.

How we solve the problem

Prevention and direct control

The most effective measure is systematic rodent control — recommended at least twice a year, in spring and autumn, when rodent activity is highest. If prevention is not carried out, direct (curative) control is applied.

Rodent control for businesses — bait station in a facility under sanitary supervision

For businesses

Rodent control for businesses and premises under sanitary supervision

For businesses we carry out regular, planned rodent control with monitoring and records — not just a one-off treatment. Bait is placed in marked bait stations (tamper-resistant boxes) at mapped points, with periodic inspection and logging. For premises that work to HACCP procedures we operate in line with the site's requirements.

  • Sites under contract visited 2 to 4 times a year, HACCP sites monthly
  • Marked bait boxes at defined points
  • Records and inspection reports
  • A work order after every treatment and an HACCP certificate for sites that need one
  • Prevention against re-infestation (entry points and food sources)

Suitable for hospitality venues, cold stores, food premises, food production and storage, warehouses, gyms, pharmacies, hair salons, kiosks, retail chains and residential buildings.

FAQ

Rodent control — frequently asked questions

How often should rodent control be carried out?

Preventively and systematically at least twice a year — in spring and autumn, when rodent activity is highest. Sites under contract are visited two to four times a year, and HACCP sites monthly.

Which methods do you use?

Traps, live-catch traps and bait boxes with bait or glue. The EKO bait boxes we use carry an attractant and a sticky base. We match the method to the type of premises and the situation on site.

Do you work with hospitality and commercial premises?

Yes — hospitality, food production and storage, cold stores, warehouses, residential buildings and premises that work to HACCP procedures.

Is there documentation after the treatment?

Yes. After every completed treatment we issue a work order describing the service, the time the treatment took and any notes. Sites working to the HACCP standard also receive a certificate — hospitality venues, cold stores, food premises, gyms, pharmacies, hair salons, kiosks and retail chains.

Are the baits safe if there are children or pets in the space?

Bait always goes into bait boxes, where children and pets cannot reach it. The boxes carry warning labels and are placed at points out of reach. Tell us before the treatment who uses the space and where food is kept. Please do not move or open the boxes without agreeing it with us first.

How long does rodent control take?

The treatment itself takes about 15 to 20 minutes. For larger premises the duration depends on the number of bait stations to be placed — we agree the estimate and the appointment when you book. With systematic rodent control, the first placement is followed by monitoring visits to an agreed plan.

What guarantee do you give on rodent control?

6 months for residential spaces, 3 to 4 months for hospitality venues. The guarantee covers the treatment at the critical points, on condition that the bait boxes are not touched and that organic products are not left open without proper packaging.

How do you prevent rodents from returning?

With a combination of prevention (removing food sources and sealing entry points) and regular monitoring of bait stations.

Do you work in residential buildings?

Yes. We work in residential buildings and communal areas, by arrangement with the building manager or the residents’ association.

How do I get a quote?

We quote once we have assessed the problem and the area of the space. Call us or send an enquiry.
