A nano protective layer changes how the panel surface behaves: dust, grease and water bond less strongly, so dirt is easier to remove. The layer is UV-resistant, invisible and doesn't change the look of the panel.
The coating bonds to the glass surface of the panel in an ultra-thin layer. On such a surface water doesn't spread out but gathers into droplets that slide off and carry some of the dirt with them.
For a photovoltaic system that means simpler maintenance and better preservation of the panel surface over time — dirt is less likely to settle, and cleaning takes less effort.
